15 ACRES OF NON-STOP MUSIC, CRAWFISH AND
FUN May 1 - 2, 2020
Mauriceville is a small community uniquely situated between Beaumont and the Southwest Louisiana Border. The original festival was founded in 1981 after The Texas Legislature named Mauriceville the Crawfish Capital of Texas. If you are craving all things Crawfish, this is the place. In addition to the great food, you can enjoy a great line up of live music Friday and Saturday afternoon.
The 2020 Crawfish Season celebration will be unlike anything Mauriceville has ever experienced. Over 20 Cook off teams from around Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana will descend on our fair grounds cooking up some of the best crawfish you'll ever taste! Buy those early bird tickets so we will have plenty of crawfish for our guests and plan to come out and help us decide who boils up the best mud bugs around. If you are interested in getting in on the action, sign up to be a team captain and round up a 4 man team. If you really want to get in on the fun, sign up for the crawfish eating contest or the crawfish races for Saturday.
We kick things off Friday night at 5:00 PM with an old fashion barn dance and crawfish sold by the pound along with the usual festival fare. Saturday morning our yearly parade will begin at 10:00 am followingg East down Hwy 12, turning South onto Hwy 62. At the festival grounds, we will be all about the crawfish. Patrons can devour as much crawfish as they wish while supplies last, listen to some great local musicians as well as our Special Entertainment including Jon Wolfe and Gyth Rigdon.
Come relax in the friendly fun of a small town fair, serving up delicious Cajun and unique festival fare including spicy crawfish and other classic festival foods and all those sinful carnival treats. Stay and enjoy the Live Music, a Crawfish Cook-off, and a great carnival providing plenty of rides, thrills and fun for kids of all ages.
